I founded Represent because I saw too many nonprofits and individuals failing for really preventable reasons.
I HAVE 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN LEADERSHIP.
I was 19 and still in college when I was first placed in a professional leadership position. Over the years, I rose consistently to the top, dwelling for long periods in HR and Accounting. I became a Chief Operating Officer.
I'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH EXCEPTIONAL FOUNDATIONS - INCLUDING ROCKEFELLER PHILANTHROPY ADVISORS, THE GATES FOUNDATION AND THE BROAD FOUNDATION.
And through it all – the relationships, the politics, the personnel, the press, the founders – I honed my ability to solve problems quickly, streamlined internal operations and mastered the art of relating to staff.
THE POSITIONS I'VE HELD HAVE BEEN COMPLEX, AS HAS THE WORK ITSELF.
The government negotiations, engaging famous funders, managing national teams, passing laws, grassroots organizing, all gave me deep insight into how people function, why staff are dedicated, what makes a great executive and how to build an effective organization.
WHAT I'VE LEARNED IS THAT UNDERSTANDING YOUR COLLEAGUES - AND YOUR OWN TRUE NATURE - IS THE KEY TO LEADERSHIP.
Using insightful, elevated leadership to guide your staff and operations is the key to achieving your mission. Know yourself. Address your fear. Shore up your knowledge. You will succeed.
